Induction Melting Furnace for Silver and Gold

Induction melting furnace equipment is available for ferrous, non-ferrous and valuable metal alloys.

This is transforming three phase power current into a single phase to create current loss through electromagnetic field induction to accomplish holding of Silver and Gold and other ferrous or nonferrous alloy material or metal, and also heating treatment before forging, sintering and tube bending forming in melting and casting industries.

Nature has helped in all kinds of human development activities over the years. Metal extraction from basic sources is a quite energy intensive activity. A copper coil carrying high frequency current, which is water cooled, creates edgy current in the charge metal within the coil. This phenomenon heats up the shared metal and melts it. The equipment working on such a principle is called induction furnace. The melting basin positioned within the inductor is isolated by a dense refractory lining in between. A special hydraulic system makes sure simple emptying, seamless and complete pouring. The induction furnace assumes great essence for its energy effectiveness and environment-friendliness.

Induction technology is used in metal since the beginning of the 20th century, but it is just in the past few years that it is put to use in small melting equipments such as jewellery workshop. This was possible due to the development of power electronic semiconductors.

Induction furnace is an electrical furnace where the heat is applied by metal induction heating. The benefit of the induction melting furnace is a neat, energy-efficient and well controlled melting process in respect to most other mediums of melting gold and silver.

Things to remember while installing induction melting furnace:

1. The three phase power line should be chosen according to the latest technical parameters and the grounding wire should be chosen to make sure dependable connection and check at regular intervals whether there is any loosening or shedding phenomenon.

2. Before running the furnace, it should be passed through water for 2-3 minutes and then you can commence the system.

3. During regular operation, it is forbidden to open the furnace body insulation and power cabinet door. Protection, forbid to touch the external and internal terminal of the machine to avoid electric shock.

4. Before starting the induction heating equipment, you should set the power adjustment knob to the lowest by turning the knob anti-clockwise. After starting the equipment, the knob should be slowly modified clockwise to the ideal position. The present value should be modified according to various materials and process needs.

5. While replacing the inductor, the power supply should be cut off so the induction heating equipment is in a state of power failure.

6. If you have to check or repair the equipment, you should turn off the power supply first. When the DC voltmeter is reduced to the minimum, you can then continue.
